Recipe: Chai With Teatulia’s Tulsi Infusion
Traditionally, a black tea is used for Chai, but Tulsi has such a wonderful spicy flavor that we decided to experiment and it was a success! Below is a recipe for a delicious Chai Tea using Teatulia’s Tulsi Infusion courtesy of our very own Piper Griff. ENJOY!!
4 bags Teatulia Tulsi (approx. 4 heaping tbsp.)
4 cups water
3-4 green cardamom pods (1 tbsp. ground cardamom)
¼ inch thinly sliced ginger
1 bay leaf
1 cinnamon stick
20 cloves
½ tbsp. fennel
½ tbsp. whole peppercorn
Bring all ingredients except the tea to a boil. Take off burner and let seep for 15 minutes. Add tea and seep for another 5-7 minutes. Strain and add sweeter and milk of choice. Enjoy.
