About Teatulia

Teatulia was concepted in early 2006 by Dr. Anis Ahmed of Kazi and Kazi Tea Estate. He then brought in business savvy friend Linda Appel-Lipsius. Together they have built Teatulia to be a premium organic tea, offered in the US through an online store, natural food stores, and premium tea shops and soon to be in the UK as well.
We planted our first camellia sinensis in 2000. Selecting land that had previously lain fallow, we set out to establish a new kind of enterprise – a renaissance tea garden – to bring the land and the local community back to life. Our garden would sustain the land and the people while producing top-quality tea for enjoyment locally and on the global market.
At Teatulia, nothing is wasted. We come from a very fragile part of the world, nestled between the Himalayas, the Darjeeling Tea Belt and the Brahmaputra dna Ganges Rivers so everything we do must do no harm to our majestic environment.
