Social Responsibility
Not only are we committed to bringing you a premium organic tea, but we are also committed to the people and communities that help make this possible. Our Social Programs include:
~Poverty alleviation through cattle rearing – We distribute cattle to our workers and surrounding villages by way of low-interest loans to provide income and improve nutrition.
~Organic Farming Education – villagers, teachers, professionals and government employees are invited to our garden to learn about our methods. For those who implement organic methods, we offer to purchase their goods at a fair price.
~Safe Hygiene Distribution – Free latrines are provided to our workers and local villagers. This simple, low-cost initiative has proven to be one of the most effective ways to improve health conditions.
~Distribution of Herbal and Medicinal Plants – The medicinal herbs we grow in the tea garden are distributed to local villagers free of cost.
~Health and Recreation for the Youth – Athletic equipment is given to local schools and clubs free of cost.
~Adult Education – We educate our illiterate workers for one hour each day on basic reading and writing skills. Already, several of our workers read newspapers and books and write letters without assistance!
~IT Education – A computer lab provides free use and instruction to up to 60 students a day.
